About Indus Golf

The Indus Golf Association was established in the year 2000 with the mission to promote and enable easy access to competitive golf to members of the South Asian community in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. In 2006, Indus Golf members formalized the Association with the election of a committee and the acceptance of by-laws. Since then the Association has been conducting two golf tournaments (Indus and Iron Ike Cup), and a Monthly Golf League from March through November.

Indus Golf has been fortunate to have a wide network of members and supporters from the South Asian community in the region. Professionals from all spheres of life including Physicians, Engineers, Executives and Entrepreneurs constitute Indus membership, and range in golfing ability from beginners to experts. Indus Golf encourages participation of ladies and children in the annual tournaments and monthly events.

It is Indus Golf committees endeavor to work closely with fellow members, sponsors and community leaders with the goal to:

• Raise awareness of golf amongst South Asian community
• Increase membership base, and
• Provide subsidized coaching for junior golfers
