• 2nd - SIVA EKAMBARAM & DIPANKAR BISWAS = NET 56
• 3rd - VASH NARULA & MICKEY MIRCHANDANI = NET 58
• Longest Drive Hole # 4 - UPINDER "The Beast" GHUMANN
• Closest to Pin Hole # 16 - DIPANKAR "Quick Gun" BISWAS

On a cold Sunday morning, 34 golfers teed it up to open the 2008 Indus Golf Season. With Daylight Savings Time kicking in, the lost hour saw lost golfers! 14 golfers were no shows.

As the morning warmed up and bogeys turned to birdies it turned out to be a great day. Dipankar Biswas hit a shot on Hole 16 playing 165 yards that the rest of the field could not match in accuracy. Upinder Ghumann came to Hole 4 and unleashed a drive that gave new meaning to 'grip it and rip it'! We estimate it was near the 300 yard mark.

Upinder and partner, the very trendy Jaz Punia came in 1st place with a net 55.5! We think .5 means "by the skin of our teeth"!

Siva Ekambaram & Dipankar Biswas made quick work of the course to score a net 56 for 2nd place and complained that they duplicated their mistakes on a number of holes. Come on guys! A net 56 and you were making mistakes?!

Former Handicap Secretary and Former Chairman, Vash Narula and Mickey Mirchandani made a mockery of the phrase "rub of the green"! With approach shots hitting bunker rakes and finishing on the green followed by chip in birdies they finished a respectable 3rd with a net 58.

Tej Gill and the rest of the committee handed out the prizes and everyone had a buffet sandwich lunch to go with the beer!
